“We are the oldest shop in Sacramento and have been doing business in the same location since 1917. We recently borrowed a Smoke Pro from another shop and had to buy one after the three repairs we did that day.

We replaced a bad LDP in a 2001 Dodge Intrepid (code PO442) $324.00, found a bad vacuum line above a purge solenoid on a 97 Acura TL $136.50, and found a major EVAP leak in a 97 E420 Mercedes Benz. This car had a bad shut off valve on top of the vapor canister. The Valve was $408.00 and the labor was $185.00.

Needless to say the Smoke Pro is a great investment for us. The amount of EVAP codes we are getting now make this very important. This tool is simple to use even without any instruction."

“My tool dealer told me to test this tool. We have the OTC model and I did a side by side comparison with both tools. Even though an OTC smoke machine is here to use I purchased my own Smoke Pro Total-Tech. The biggest difference to me is the OTC’s smoke seems to evaporate faster and makes it more difficult to chase down the small leaks that are harder to see. Leaks above the fuel tank are a good example. The Smoke Pro seems to have a denser smoke that stays around longer and is easier to see.

This tool is not bulky and does not have a large nitrogen cart and set up. Nitrogen is a hassle and there never seems to be any in the tank anyway. Everyone we show this tool to is impressed. Toyota of Temecula Valley also has a Smoke Pro. There is a lot of talk about this tool within our Toyota techs so you should be seeing more and more orders.

I am very happy my dealer showed me this. Once I used it, I had to have it. I only wish I had seen it sooner”

"We first thought a Smoke Machine was like a gimmick… After borrowing one we knew it was really needed in our business.

We have paid for our Total-Tech the first week we owned it. We repaired a 2000 C44 Porsche 996, this one had bad crankcase breather hose. We had to pull the motor, so it was a about a $1600.00 repair. We found a large vacuum hose leaking in a 1980 MB 450SL under the intake manifold, this was about a $900.00 job and 1998 540I BMW had a bad throttle body gasket and resulted in a $300-$400.00 job.

After 20 years without one this is a tool we cannot live without."
