Zack fell in love with the tool business in the1970’s growing up in a town of fewer than 500 people in the California Gold Country. He worked at a repair facility performing brake jobs, front-end alignments, changing tires, and running a service truck to rescue disabled logging trucks. On the curvy mountain roads it was quite dangerous when a vehicle had headlights out of adjustment. The repair center where Zack worked had the only certified headlight-adjustment station in the area. The relatively inexpensive plastic air-bubble headlight adjustment device was one of the biggest profit centers at the garage. Zack learned early that having the right tool can quickly and easily help a repair facility to provide better service and become much more profitable.
On Zack’s first day at Redline Detection after buying the company in the summer of 2007, he heard founder Ken Pieroni telling a prospective customer on the telephone, “Your Smoke Pro© will be the finest tool you will EVER own! I promise you will make more money from your Smoke Pro© than any other tool in your garage!” Immediately after the sale Zack asked, “Can we really say that at Redline?” to which Ken emphatically replied, “You can if it’s true!”
The biggest challenge Zack faces is to maintain Redline’s unparalleled quality and legendary customer service in the midst of the record growth of 2009. It is a balancing act to properly channel Redline’s considerable talent, time, and resources to service existing clients, acquire new accounts, as well as develop new products and markets. His job at Redline is much easier with Gene Stauffer and Ken Pieroni, two of most experienced, talented, and accomplished experts in diagnostic leak detection.

LuLu Roxanne, Official Redline Shop Dog
Roxanne is a pure bred Bernese Mountain Dog (aka: Berner Sennenhund) with a bad attitude. She has been told she has relatives in the Bern Mountains of Switzerland but she has never visited. Roxanne lives at the beach in Orange County, California home of Disneyland. However, Roxanne spends as much time as possible at Redline because she is a working breed just like her owner. Her favorite activities are running along the beach (never actually in the water) and riding in the back of Redline’s 17 year old red Chevy pick-up truck with almost 200,000 miles on it. One of Roxanne’s best friends is Ken Pieroni’s Golden Labrador Retriever, Gabor, a former Guide Dog for the Blind who also spends a good bit of time at Redline.
